1. One of the keys to getting the most out of Twitter is connecting to the right people. Forbes’ list of “Thirty Women Entrepreneurs to Follow on Twitter” is a great resource for those interested in going from employee to entrepreneur.

2. Want to know what kind of candidate captures the attention of recruiters? Read “7 Attributes of Great Online Candidates.” For example, it pays to beef up your social networking skills(attribute #5 and #6 – they are looking for people who are passionate about what they do.

3. According to Robin Fisher Roffer, one of the ways to standout at work and be noticed is to be fearless at work. “Should You Make Waves at Work,” reviews Roffer’s book The Fearless Fish Out of Water: How to Succeed When You’re the Only One Like You. Want to know how fearless you are, take a short quiz here.

Good Advice: “In a time when many companies are having to make the hard choice between who can stay and who should go, make sure that your name is on the top of the list of employees they can’t afford to lose,” Roffer advises.

4. Here’s my web find of the week: A Year of Change. It’s a free e-book when you subscribe www.thechangeblog.com. I was first attracted to this site after finding an article on work-life balance. 5. Did you know that stress increases around the holidays? In a post by Steve Roesler on All Things Work blog, he shares recent statistics about holiday stress an a few tips on how to handle the overload. You can read the full article here.

The statistics show that 40% are already stressed out before the holidays arrive. In a poll of 600 full-time employees, Accenture’s HR Services found that 66% of the respondents reported additional stress at work during the holidays.
